Course preview
Our continuing education courses keep you focused on what matters most in architecture and design. Achieve more with continuing education that blends trusted expertise with real world application.
Casework is the designed, built-in cabinetry that adds storage and detail to interior spaces - bookshelves, bars, kitchen cabinetry, and other storage. This course explores the basics of architectural casework fabrication and installation. It covers cabinet assembly and designs, industry standards, and proper dimensioning considerations. We'll examine how professional workshops fabricate casework, review the reference materials that guide their work, and analyze a typical section to demonstrate proper design documentation. Through detailed examples and illustrations, you will learn how to translate design intent into fabrication reality, enabling considered cabinetry in your constructions.
