Breaking down the Practice Management (PcM) Division

The Practice Management (PcM) Division is one of six divisions of the Architect Registration Examination® (ARE) test administered by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). The PcM Division will test an architect’s ability to manage an architectural practice, professional ethics, financial and fiduciary responsibilities, and the regulations that govern architectural practices. To do well on this exam, you’ll need to understand business operations and development, business structure, asset development, and asset protection.
